Our next concert

Please click the "Concerts" tab to see all this season's concerts. The next concert will be:

Kosmos Ensemble

Date: January 18, 2019

The rigour of the classical repertoire, the tunefulness of folk music, the willingness to seek the new in modern, and above all, the source of music itself, the passions of the human spirit; that is what Kosmos is about.

“..telepathic rapport, dazzling virtuosity, serious scholarship, intellectual curiosity and impeccable musicianship. I defy you not to be mesmerised.” Richard Morrison, chief music critic, The Times

Music in West Kilbride was formed in 1986 as the West Kilbride Music Club – with the aim of providing professional music concerts in North Ayrshire of the same high quality as those in Glasgow. This has been successfully achieved through the consistently high standard of our varied and imaginative seasonal programmes and is evidenced by our growing membership and increasing visitor numbers. Besides our concerts, we also encourage music understanding and development in our local schools, with many of the performers who visit us for concerts spending time running musical workshops in West Kilbride Primary School or Ardrossan Academy. Please see our concert programme here, and learn something about our past performers here. Music in West Kilbride is a Registered Charity (SCO37517) and is supported by Enterprise Music Scotland (through funding provided by Creative Scotland) and North Ayrshire Council. The constitution of Music in West Kilbride can be seen here.
